The Woman in Black
The Woman in Black is known for it’s terror and at the time ground-breaking ideas. For me, this book was one that changed the game of ghost stories. I have read a few but none have ever left me in so much suspense whilst reading and terror after finishing. The book starts off in a present day where the character of Arthur Kipps is talking about his life and how the past has changed him. At this time, we do not know quite what has caused some of the fear he holds and references whilst talking. However, we do know that, as the title suggests, it is around a woman dressed all in black.
