How has it been a month since I last posted a review? I guess this is what it means to be a working woman. I promise I have been reading! Anyway, today’s review will be on Alexandra Sokoloff’s thriller/horror novel, The Harrowing.

The Harrowing is a tale about a group of five students (which seemed a great deal like those from the Breakfast Club) who stay at Baird College during thanksgiving because none of them wishes to visit their family, or have no family to visit. After the stormy weather causes a power cut, the group decides to participate in a candlelit séance by using a very old Ouija board. This séance causes them to be haunted in the weeks after, and there is constant debate whether there is a malign spirit taunting them, or if all the events are simply a psychological phenomenon.
